About Us
Why Plan P ?
Parenting is such a learning curve; our Plans A and B are exhausted pretty fast! Especially with teens, it can feel like we’re blowing through Plans C, D, and E with no end in sight.
If you’ve tried everything and still feel a little lost, you’re not alone. We have been there, read our story below, an d we have worked with many parents who have each made their decisions for their families. We know from all of these stories, ours and others, that there is not a right or wrong way to parent through challenging years. Period. Full stop.
Plan P is for those who keep Pressing forward and keep Persisting, even when they feel they’re on the Precipice. Plan P is for People, for Parents. Plan P is for you. Reach out. We’re here for one reason-you.
Who We Are?
Meet Sarah & Quinn
Sarah and Quinn don’t just parent–they parent TOGETHER. They married when Sarah’s kids were 9 and 11, so they know a thing or two about complicated family dynamics. Both Sarah and Quinn identify as parents, humans and also as queer. Sarah uses she/her/hers pronouns, and Quinn accepts any respectfully used pronouns.
Plan P was born out of Sarah and Quinn’s desire to leverage their educational and parenting backgrounds to support others. They ended up sending their younger child to a wilderness program and theraputic boarding school as a teen.
Families are a unit. Theirs was struggling. They are thankful for the experience now, although it was not easy. They got through. They have loving trusting relationships with their now-adult children who have given them the thumbs up on doing this work. They believe we all struggle, but there are still powerful stigmas against asking for help. In reality, none of us do it alone–we’re all fueled by the love, compassion, and empathy of other humans.
Parental challenges, disappointments, and hurts are universal, and parents deserve all the support they can get. In this spirit, Sarah and Quinn offer expertise and guidance to parents who need a mentor, a friend, a guide, and an updated plan, perhaps a Plan P.

Quinn has worked in environments as varied as BET and Ernst & Young. Eventually, she moved to California from her native NY (born and raised in Brooklyn) and took over as head of finance at Mom’s the Word, where she worked for 18 years before moving into coaching in 2021. The most prized certificate on Quinn’s office walls is her “Best Step Mom Award.”
